Effectively partnering with local businesses is a skill that has to be learned…DeeAnn has certainly helped us hone that skill.

What is your expectation of a student that graduates high school in Washington County?

Why do all of this? Because YOU are needed to help our students be successful and our communities to prosper.

PSE was thrilled to see so many local students excited about engineering and we hope to meet many of them again as they continue on their educational and career paths.

The internship has helped me realize I love Journalism and I am now looking at colleges that have related programs.

Ann dabbles in multiple things but has always gone back to sewing. She can fix anything from bridal gowns to pillows.

Currently, Brent is doing everything from improving the woodshop to making cutting boards for a class. He also has a base level knowledge of sewing, vinyl cutters and 3D printing.

Building Bridges to Careers (BB2C) is well on it's way to helping the local economy!

She loves working with students and wants to give back to the community.

She has used the Makerspace to make a porch swing and she was in the process of making a dining table top.

Does this still help us meet our mission?

Setting up a place where people are excited to come and learn or share a new skill, or experience a new technology is what I am most excited about.

Marietta Main Street sponsored Makerspace memberships for both of them in order to access all the equipment and space that they needed.

Time management became a huge part of the food preparation, and it kept everything on track.

I was immediately excited once I learned my role and of the opportunity to affect even one kid.

During these past months, having the opportunity to see makers of all ages come to life with activities and skills they have never tried before has been the highlight of this experience.
