Experience the local workforce so you can bring real career pathways back to your
classroom. Join Building Bridges to Careers (BB2C) this summer for a unique professional development
experience that connects educators directly with the industries, workforce trends, and
postsecondary programs shaping our region’s future.
During this immersive four-day experience, educators will:
● Tour 10 local businesses and industries
● Explore career pathway programs at Washington State College of Ohio and
Washington County Career Center
● Examine regional economic development and workforce data
● Connect student career assessment insights to real local opportunities
● Engage with community leaders and business partners through BB2C’s Community
and Business Advisory Council
Participants will gain the knowledge, relationships, and inspiration needed to help students
discover career pathways aligned with their interests, strengths, and skills.

● 2 graduate credit hours through the University of Rio Grande
● Cost: $330
● Limited to 10 educators (first-come, first-served)
2026 Schedule
● June 8 | 8:30–4:00 — Program orientation and local business tours
● June 9 | 8:30–4:00 — WSCO program tours and industry visits
● June 10 | 8:30–4:00 — Business tours and regional workforce data exploration
● June 11 | 9:00–4:30 — Independent work, WCCC program tours, and participation in
BB2C’s Community & Business Advisory Council meeting
By the end of the experience, educators will leave with new professional networks,
classroom connections, and practical strategies for bringing community and career learning
to life.
